Understanding the importance of knowledge economy for the future of the country, leading Slovak IT
company ESET decided to build its new Campus in BRATISLAVA. An inspiring R&D hub, which would
concentrate top class IT technology companies, integrate with technical universities situated nearby,
provide various services, public spaces and include portion of living function. All this in order to create a
new livable neighborhood and a buzzing place with vibrant life at any time of the day and during the whole
year.

: MIRRORWORLD :
What if the campus is neither virtual or physical – but both?
Half the program is a real physical project, dealing with the challenges of the site and its connection to the surroundings. The other half is a virtual extension that explores the limits of architecture in a virtual world with no gravity, economic constraints or resource use. Only functionality and experience.
The campus becomes augmented architecture that is expanded with a mirrorworld. Rather than separating the physical domain and the digital domain, they conflate in the campus where both real physical life and digital encounters take place.
