School of the Future
Slovakia needs to support education in the IT field because digital technologies and artificial intelligence are key to the future of the economy and innovation. The development of IT education will help prepare the younger generation for high-value-added jobs, increase the country’s competitiveness, and attract investments in technology. Strong IT education will also support the creation of domestic innovations and startups, contributing to Slovakia’s economic growth and technological progress on a global scale.
The school, which opened this school year, specializes in new methods of education linked to the latest technologies and the use of artificial intelligence. Students can choose between two specialized fields:
Development of hybrid applications
Digital game creation
The educational curriculum and approach are based on the values of respect and partnership. They offer the opportunity for individualized education to maximize the development of personal abilities. The educational methods are designed to help discover and utilize the potential of every student.

Brief
The aim of the project is to design a modern extension of the secondary and higher education school, specializing in IT technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), in Bratislava. The primary focus will be on creating an inspiring and technologically advanced educational environment that reflects the dynamic and innovative nature of the IT industry and forms of education.
The extension should include multifunctional classrooms, research and development laboratories, coworking spaces for students, and spaces for startups and incubators. The technological infrastructure of the extension should be designed to meet the latest standards for teaching and research in IT and AI, including the integration of intelligent systems and automation.
The design should take into account modern ecological and sustainable solutions that are in harmony with the urban environment of Bratislava. The architectural design should be dynamic, flexible, and functionally connected with the existing school building, providing a comfortable and stimulating environment for future professionals in IT and AI.

Design process
During the design process Matthew and Nicol from BIG, thanks to ESET initiative, will on monthly basis provide with international point of view on different aspects of architecture and experience from projects all over the world.
Jan, Andrej, Michal a Peter from INFLOW will on weekly basis show you how to understand the brief and create the concept the client will fall in love with. They will help you to create a strong and successes full narrative of your project.
Grishi, Veronika and Viktoria from SKYRO will during two crits and one final defense provide you with direct feedback and you will have the opportunity to discuss your project with the client directly.
