We are the only Faculty of Architecture and Design in Slovakia. You can study some fields only with us. Our faculty ranked first in the overall European university ranking Europe University Ranking 2023-24 and received the title TOP European University of 2023-24. We offer you a unique combination of art, science and technology. You choose most of the studios and subjects yourself according to what you enjoy most. The Faculty of Architecture and Design is the smallest faculty at the Slovak University of Technology. Do not take this information as a negative, quite the opposite. We are among the faculties with a family atmosphere, as we know each other well and meet often. For us architects, urban planners and designers, social life is very important. The many events we organize are proof of this.
Most of our students come from all over Slovakia, and you can live with them in one of the dormitories. They are located just a stone's throw from the city center and the faculty itself. We also want to offer you the opportunity to broaden your horizons outside of regular classes, which is why our older students organize great events right in the FAD premises. Here you will find lectures, film screenings, performances, openings, concerts, but also unforgettable events that we architects and designers cannot miss. Every year we organize the Night of Architecture and Design, combined with the presentation of students' studio works for the general public, when our faculty is visited by more than 3,000 visitors during one evening. We also like to use our exterior, which directly connects to one of the greenest squares in Bratislava.
