The Laboratory for Multidisciplinary Research and Experience Design is a vertical studio and research workplace focused on design research and development in the rapidly changing field of personal mobility. The laboratory is primarily dedicated to the design of automotive interiors and user interfaces, the design of alternative forms of mobility, whether in the field of services or innovative intelligent devices and means of transport.
The research group MX lab - Laboratory for Multidisciplinary Research and Experience Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design in Bratislava is a scientific and research workplace and a collective of researchers focused on design research and development in the rapidly changing field of personal mobility. MX lab, in cooperation with partners from the automotive industry (Škoda Auto, a.s. and Volkswagen AG), is dedicated to the design of automotive interiors and user interfaces, the design of alternative forms of mobility, whether in the field of services or innovative intelligent devices and means of transport. The acronym “MX” in the lab’s name stands for “multiversity” (the letter M) and “experience” (the letter X). The acronym is also a reference to the “mixed reality” that the lab is actively working with.
