The Institute of Design of the Faculty of Architecture at STU focuses on strengthening design thinking and a professional creative approach that leads to innovative solutions in the field of tangible and intangible products.
Graduates of UD FA STU profile themselves in the fields of product design (craft-based, industrial and automotive design), interior design and digital design (experience design, digital products, computational design) through project-based education and individual choice of so-called Vertical Studio.
The aim of the study is to combine the design process with the design process in cooperation with industry. The main strategic focus of the Institute of Design is to connect the study with the commercial environment, through active cooperation with Volkswagen AG, Škoda Auto, as, Nowy Styl Group, MATADOR HOLDING, as , OMS Ltd. and other industry partners.
