In June 2024, a series of multiplier events within the CT.uni project took place. The KA2 Erasmus+ CT.Uni: Creative Thinking Taking an Innovative and STEAM Approach for a Transdisciplinary University project was playing an important role within a series of conferences, seminars and workshops held in June 2024 in Bratislava.
The research and outputs of CT.uni project were also presented during the international EADE 2024 (Engineering, Architecture and Design Education) conference that was held on 10 – 12 June in Bratislava. The specific contribution was focused on enhancing creative thinking when leading design students and was presented by two lecturers, Martin Balaz and Zuzana Turlikova, who is also a researcher of the CT.uni project. The comparison of the advantages and disadvantages between design thinking and action centric approach showed how diverse but also necessary both approaches are.
Another workshop, where STU had their representatives and helped to elucidate the research, process and disseminate the results of CT.uni projects, particularly the Intellectual Output 2 named Codifying the Innovation in Learning and Teaching was held at the University of Economics. The workshop was coordinated by Veronika Orfanusova, EUBA, and Zuzana Turlikova, STU, who helped to familiarize with the project results and to lead the training focused on innovative teaching methods, STEAM approach and interdisciplinarity. The participants were presented with the survey data gained during the research carried out by 8 partners of our consortium on how students, teachers, managers and partners of HEIs perceive the mutual cooperation (HEIs vs. external stakeholders), examining the hypothesis that such cooperation leads to innovation and fosters one’s creative thinking.
Last June seminary, where STU disseminated the knowledge gained within CT.uni project, was focused on designing innovative school interiors in the 21st century that support pupils‘ correct mental, physical and intellectual development. The event was held under the patronage of FAD STU and the partner (external stakeholder, furniture and interior company MyDva). This multiplier event also included the contributions of interior designers, educators, physiotherapists, soft-skills trainers and material experts and was open to the professional audience of interior designers, furniture suppliers and educators. Zuzana Turlikova, STU, presented the power of STEAM, interdisciplinary and creative teaching methods and the possible ways to implement them in the educational process, and thus foster creativity.
