During the Milan Design Week festival in April 2023, you could experience the SENSBIOM II installation in Alcova Milano, which is the result of the interdisciplinary collaboration of the crafting plastics studio! and the American research facility DumoLab from Penn’s Weitzman School of Design in Pennsylvania.
In addition to Vlasta Kubušová, a doctoral student at the Institute of Design, the founder of the crafting plastics! studio, who implemented the project as part of a Fulbright scholarship, doctoral students Soňa Otiepková (Institute of History and Theory of Architecture and Restoration of Monuments) and Alexander Kupko (Institute of Ecological and Experimental Architecture) participated in the installation.
SENSBIOM II is a playful installation that proposes a future where objects help people reconnect with the planet using environmentally interactive materials obtained from renewable sources.
