Biela Noc / White Night is an international contemporary art festival that connects art and public space. It offers visitors a powerful visual experience on current social topics and offers space for reflection and dialogue. We are happy that the Faculty of Architecture and Design of STU is once again part of this event, which will take place from September 29 – October 1, 2023 in Bratislava. During the event, the FAD STU building will also be open to the public, where visitors can visit the Stage² light installation. Learn more about the event HERE.
The work Stage² represents a light installation working with the voices and verbal expression of the visitors. Amplification and mutual communication in the space of the historic building completes the interactive work. Visitors are a moment of verbal rapprochement between two persons who visually influence the space of the historic building. The authors of the work Paulína Ebringerová, Sarah Gregor and Samuel Skyva work at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of STU in Bratislava. The work was created as part of the course Ephemeral Art, led by Mgr. art. Paulína Ebringerová, ArtD. Every year, the subject, under professional supervision, presents monumental installations in public space and guides students through realizations into practical life (2022 – LIIINE work, 2021 – Afloat work, 2018 – Shower pavilion).
The partner of the project is CTRL_space. The project was financially supported by the Bratislava self-governing region.
