On Monday 16. 9. 2024, the honorary degree of Doctor honoris causa was awarded to the visiting professor of FAD Zenon Jan Pudlowski. Professor Pudlowski received this award from the hands of the Rector of STU Professor Oliver Moravčík during the opening ceremony of the new academic year 2024/25.
Professor Pudlowski is currently the Director of the World Institute for Engineering and Technology Education (WIETE) based in Melbourne, Australia. His 25-year collaboration with FAD STU has enabled its members to participate in many international conferences and has resulted in dozens of indexed publications and hundreds of citations. In recent years, Professor Pudlowski has collaborated with FAD STU faculty to organize several international Conferences on Engineering and Architecture Design Education, most recently in June 2024 in Bratislava.
