The Faculty of Architecture and Design of STU is a modern educational and scientific institution. Education is based on research and linked to practice. Graduates are among the top experts. Research at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the STU is mainly focused on experimental and universal design, on the design of ecological and sustainable architecture, on new approaches in teaching, on the evaluation of the effects of development plans on the quality of residential and natural environments, and on the issue of cultural sustainability.
The Faculty of Architecture and Design of STU cooperates with municipalities, companies and individuals - typically in the form of processing student projects, organizing workshops, through grant projects or specific project solutions through Belluš's studios. It also provides other services, for example various courses, lifelong learning, consultations or use of VVVC premises in Banská Štiavnica.
