The Trieste Contemporanea Committee is pleased to announce DOUBLE TRACK, the tenth edition of its International Design Contest organised under the patronage of C.E.I. (Central European Initiative). The contest represents an interesting opportunity for all the young designers and the students from 23 European Countries who can show their own ability and promote their works in an international context.
The competition’s deadline is midnight (Italian time) of the 31st May 2012.The candidates are asked to submit a new project for a functional object using as its source an object demonstrating design skill singled out from the recent collective memory of objects of their country.
An international jury presided by Gillo Dorfles will select a number of projects to be exhibited in Trieste. The best projects will be awarded a first prize (4000 €), a CEI prize (the best designer from one of the CEI countries not part of the EU: 3000 €) and a BEBA prize (the youngest selected designer: 1000 €).
There is no charge for the participation and the competition notice is available on

Whilst hoping the initiative may meet with your favour, we thank you for your kind attention.
