The Slovak-American Foundation calls for fall 2014 applications in the Professional Internship Program and the Research Scholar Program with an earlier deadline of April 1, 2014.
Bratislava, Slovakia – February 14, 2014 – The Slovak-American Foundation (SAF) inaugurated now more than three years ago concluded very successful application rounds with a high number of applications these years. The SAF program generated a great interest both in the Professional Internship Program and the Research Scholar Program.
The Professional Internship Program is open for university students and recent graduates with a focus on entrepreneurship, providing a scholarship of up to $30,000 USD to spend up to 12 months in the U.S.
The Research Scholar is open for professors and academic researchers with a focus on entrepreneurship, providing a scholarship up to $60,000 USD to spend up to 12 months in the U.S.
Altogether 8 deserving graduate students of Slovakia in business and engineering with a strong entrepreneurial focus were selected in the year of 2013, and SAF is looking forward to more excellent candidates, primarily from district universities.
Additionally, the Alumni Association of the Slovak-American Foundation has been established, and an Alumni Leadership Council is formed to drive alumni initiatives in Slovakia to transfer the participants’ newly gained U.S. expertise to support Slovakia’s social and economic development. Application deadline: April 1, 2014, decision notifications by June 15, 2014. Successful applicants depart in the fall of 2014.
